Materials

For the production of the Balbex drumsticks two basic raw materials are used.

HORNBEAM
Hornbeam wood is one of the hardest and most used materials for the fabrication of drumsticks. If hornbeam wood has been assorted and dried properly then it has excellent properties, nearly as good as are the properties of American hickory wood.

HICKORY
Hickory wood is the world-wide most used material that is suitable for the fabrication of drumsticks. It is distinguished for its high hardness, toughness and durability.

All materials are specially dried to maximum humidity of 7%. Our long time developed drying process really helps to wood compaction and so to hard the materials and also to significant expansion of drumsticks lifetime.

UNSELECTED HICKORY AND HORNBEAM
We produce series of drumsticks Economy set hornbeam and Economy set hickory from unselected material – hornbeam and hickory. There can be higher weight difference with these drumsticks. We also expect shorter lifetime of drumsticks made of these materials than is the lifetime of drumsticks made of Premium hornbeam and Premium hickory. The advantage of these drumsticks is great price for its quality.
